ETC SYSTEM (Electronic Temperature Control)

ELECTRONIC SYSTEM OF LEVELING TO FLOOR

FOR NEW LIFTS AND REFURBISHMENTS, THE INSTALLATION IS POSSIBLE IN SYSTEMS EQUIPPED WITH THE MOD-3010 DISTRIBUTOR

Reduces the power consumption up to 20 % thanks to optimized velocity curves during the leveling to floor, which allows a reduction of the fly time and consequently a reduced motor insertion.

In particular, the ETC system acts on reducing the leveling spaces, keeping them constant to changing temperature conditions; as a consequence, the elevator travels at full speed for a longer period, hence the travel phases during the leveling to floor with the engine inserted are reduced: the elevator operates at low speed dissipating the heat.

Moreover, it allows to eliminate the use of heat resistors for the valve and the oil, resulting in a further energy saving.

Simultaneously, this mechanism helps to dissolve passenger traffic congestion, in the same way traditional hydraulic systems do: with an average speed of 0,8 m/s.

The ETC system can be installed in existing lifts without any changes to the system.

The installation of the ETC system in existing lifts is possible within 2 hours.

After the installation, a temperature sensor detects the oil temperature and registers automatically the travel time and the leveling to floor. By means of preset parameters, quickly adjusts and reduces the leveling spaces for both the up and down travel.

The ETC system complies with the Standard EN 81.20 as to stopping the car at floor level and obtaining a leveling precision of ± 10 mm.

The 2CH SYSTEM

The 2CH system has been developed by following the general concept of lift safety, namely in providing two control elements for each operational phase of the system.

The 2CH system, when applied to the 3010 circuit, guarantees the control of the down travel through two different valves.

This safety concept is already regulated by some standards (for example in Australia).

SOFT STOP

The Soft Stop system is the result of constant research of GMV, aiming to achieve better performances of hydraulic systems. New features applied to some components of the 3010 valve allow installing the optional Soft Stop in existing systems with only few modifications of the controller.

The benefits of this system are:

– Highest comfort when stopping in the upward travel

– Reduction of noise emission during acceleration and deceleration and an improved precision of leveling to floor.

These features allow the Soft Stop to be the ideal solution for luxury elevator systems and high traffic buildings that require an excellent performance.

HAND PUMP

This component is required by the Standards EN 81 and used for following functions:

– Emergency operation in the upward travel

– Unlock of VC (rupture valve)

MAXIMUM PRESSURE SWITCH

This component is required by the standard EN 81.

Being part of the safety circuit, it allows cutting off the electrical power supply in case of exceeding the maximum preset pressure value.

MINIMUM PRESSURE SWITCH

Being part of the safety circuit, it allows cutting off the electrical power supply in case of the pressure falling below the preset value (preset: 5 bar).

PRESSURE SWITCH WITH LOW HYSTERESIS AND LOAD WEIGHING FUNCTION

– NO type – normally with open contact

– NC type – normally with closed contact

It is connected to an alarm signal, which indicates an overload of the car and consequently prevents the departure.

PRESSURE GAUGE WITH AN ELECTRIC CONTACT

It has the function of a pressure gauge paired with the function of the maximum and minimum pressure switch.

THE VALVE HEATING RESISTOR 60W-230VCA

The resistor helps to avoid overtravel phenomena due to temperature or oil viscosity during the first travels early in the morning at low temperature.

SOFT STARTER

The Soft Starter extends longevity of the engine, guaranteeing:

• Reduction of intensity peaks during start-up
• Elimination of mechanical and electrical stress
• Protection of the engine-pump group
• Reduction of power consumption
• Reduction of noise emission during the start-up

The Soft Starter is recommended for high power systems (more than 18 kW).

OIL HEATING RESISTORS IN THE TANK – possible supply voltages 400 – 230 Vca

At low temperatures, oil resistors heat up the oil in order to obtain the preset parameters of viscosity for a proper functioning of the elevator, especially during the first travels in the morning. The resistor is equipped with an internal non-adjustable thermostat.

MICRO – LEVELING

It is a leveling-to-floor device equipped with an auxiliary engine/pump group at very reduced power. It allows saving energy and avoiding overstress of the main engine during the phases of leveling to floor.

It is recommended for goods passenger elevators and large-scale installations with high operational performance. It reduces the power consumption and increases the precision of leveling to floor during loading and unloading with pallet trucks.
